The Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) and its Agriculture & Agri-food Committee, in partnership with Canada’s Indo-Pacific Agriculture and Agrifood Office (IPAAO), are delighted to invite you to the webinar, Unlocking Halal Market Opportunities in Southeast Asia. This session is part of the first Canada-ASEAN Agriculture Series 2024, designed to enhance the Canadian brand and expand Canada’s commercial and export footprint in Southeast Asia. Through this series, we aim to build enduring partnerships between Canada and ASEAN in agriculture and food security.
This webinar will focus on the untapped potential of ASEAN’s halal markets, particularly in Indonesia and Malaysia, with attention to other key Southeast Asian markets such as Brunei and the Philippines. Participants will gain insights into the regulatory environment, halal certification, and practical market entry strategies tailored for Canadian businesses. The session will also facilitate knowledge sharing on halal certification requirements, registration and customs procedures, key stakeholders, and critical trade-related considerations.

Educate Canadian businesses about the regulatory landscape and certification processes for entering halal markets in ASEAN.
Share practical strategies for navigating halal certification, registration, and customs procedures.
Highlight the key stakeholders and industry players in the ASEAN halal market.
Foster discussions on trade and export opportunities for Canadian agriculture and agri-food businesses.
Build connections that will strengthen Canada-ASEAN agricultural and food security partnerships.
