The Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) and its Agriculture & Agri-food Committee, in partnership with Canada’s Indo-Pacific Agriculture and Agrifood Office (IPAAO), are pleased to invite you to the inaugural webinar of the 1st Canada-ASEAN Agriculture & Agri-food Event Series - Sustainability in Agriculture: Practices and Partnerships. This webinar aims to showcase Canada's world-class sustainable agriculture practices and explore opportunities for collaboration with ASEAN nations in promoting sustainable agricultural systems. The session will address key challenges and opportunities for implementing sustainable practices in ASEAN, focusing on how Canadian innovations and expertise can contribute to long-term agricultural and environmental resilience in the region.


Objectives:

  • Showcase Canada’s leading sustainable agriculture practices and their applicability to the ASEAN region.

  • Explore potential partnerships between Canada and ASEAN for advancing sustainability in agriculture.

  • Identify key challenges and opportunities for sustainable agriculture in Southeast Asia.

  • Promote knowledge exchange on best practices, technological innovations, and policy frameworks for sustainable agriculture.

  • Strengthen Canada-ASEAN collaboration in addressing climate change and food security through sustainable agricultural practices.
